Senior Bridge Engineer
We’re looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead technical direction on transportation design projects, with expertise in structural planning, analysis, and design for bridges. The role includes overseeing project quality, schedule, and budget; building relationships with clients; and acting as a key liaison between clients and the global bridge engineering team.
Responsibilities- Plan, analyze, and design bridge projects; prepare plans, specifications, conduct inspections, write reports.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise on high‑profile transportation infrastructure projects.
- Ensure project quality, schedule, and budget; manage project activities and resources.
- Serve as the primary contact between clients, the global bridge engineering team, and partners.
- Participate in technical societies and attend meetings or events outside normal working hours.
- Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, ensuring effective teamwork.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Ohio or ability to obtain Ohio license within 6 months of employment.
- Substantial progressive experience on a variety of bridge types (steel, prestressed concrete, curved, skewed, long‑span), including analysis, design, and plan development for new and rehabilitation projects.
- Considerable experience on large, multidisciplinary bridge design projects.
- Previous experience with Design‑Build (DB) projects.
- Advanced working knowledge of Micro Station, Excel, Math Cad, structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP
2000, CSi‑Bridge, LPILE, MDX, Leap Bridge, LARSA). - Experience mentoring engineering staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
