Associate Control Systems Consultant

The Associate Control Systems Consultant will serve as a technical resource to assist with control systems integration related to a large-scale Data Center construction project. This role is responsible for assisting with the design implementation, systems integration, commissioning, and validation of building automation and control systems.

• Serve as a technical resource for Building Automation Systems (BAS), EPMS, SCADA, and related control systems.
• Follow procedures that align with Owner standards, contract documents, and data center best practices.
• Participate in meetings related to controls integration across mechanical, electrical, and IT systems.
• Work with a large group to ensure project milestones are achieved per the schedule.

• Verify installation of control panels, instrumentation, field devices, and network infrastructure has been completed properly.
• Ensure proper integration between Chillers, cooling towers, CRAHs/CRACs.
• Ensure integration between UPS systems and switch gear.
• Ensure integration between Generators and ATS systems.
• Ensure integration with Power monitoring (EPMS).
• Support communications for connected control systems.
• Assign IP addresses to devices.

• Execute controls commissioning plans.
• Participate in point-to-point verification and I/O checkout.
• Assist to troubleshoot system deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support FAT tests.
• Support Level 2 and 3 commissioning efforts.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or commensurate experience. Automation System training/certification a plus.
• Some knowledge of PLCs, Instrumentation and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with network protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control diagrams.
• Willingness to remain on-site full-time for project duration.

• 1-3 years of experience in data center or mission‑critical facility environments.
• Industrial experience.
• Rockwell and Ignition experience.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proactive risk identification and mitigation.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced construction environments.
• Safety.

• Full-time on-site presence required for the duration of construction and commissioning.
• Active construction site environment.
• May require extended hours during commissioning and turnover phases.
• Foster and promote a strong safety culture and follow company safety protocols.
