The Controls Engineer will design temperature control systems, collaborate with project managers on equipment selection, and ensure compliance with electrical power, control panels, relay logic, wiring, and control devices. The role may also support software engineering and systems networking including programming, system networks, and communications.
What You Will Be Doing- Produce system layouts and controls design based on construction documents
- Generate design submittals, As‑Builts, and O&M packages
- Obtain cut sheets, coordinate submittal process and assembly
- Ensure design complies with contract drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy
- Select correct devices for applications while staying within specifications
- Create custom graphics packages for interface into the building automation system
- Experience designing control systems for commercial HVAC applications
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural construction documents
- Experience with computer‑aided design software
- Two‑ or four‑year degree in engineering, engineering technologies, or a related field
- Exceptional work ethic and adherence to company values
