This role manages the comprehensive lifecycle of gas transmission and distribution facility projects, including planning, estimating, permitting, scheduling, and construction oversight. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards. This is a hybrid position requiring three days onsite per week.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage effective scope, schedule, and cost baselines to measure project progress
- Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction work that complies with all policies and standards
- Collaborate with project managers, specialists, and contract construction inspectors
- Provide construction support for all internal and external customers
- Complete construction projects that meet customer expectations and budget requirements
- Manage the planning, estimating, permitting, scheduling, risk analysis, and material procurement for projects
- Monitor field construction, in-service facilitation, and project close-out
- Monitor and communicate project progress related to capital spends, status updates, and scheduling
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience managing construction-related projects
- 3+ years of experience working with pipeline construction contractors
- 3+ years of experience working with project budgets
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to travel within Ohio (30-40%)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Knowledge of gas system design and operations including gas flow, construction, and contracts
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal operating and construction codes
- Proficiency with personal computers, construction scheduling software, and Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of operations support systems (e.g., WMS)
