LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Cap Ex Engineer to support capital investment projects for a growing manufacturing organization. This individual will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities- Lead capital project execution from concept through completion, including scope development, budgeting, and scheduling
- Evaluate and justify capital expenditures through ROI analysis and business case development
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify equipment and process improvement opportunities
- Manage vendor selection, equipment procurement, and contractor coordination
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through capital investment initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
- 7+ years of experience supporting capital projects in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of capital budgeting, cost analysis, and project justification
- Experience managing equipment installations and process improvements
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems, automation, and process design
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Experience with ERP systems and capital planning tools
- Background in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
- Experience supporting multi-site or large-scale manufacturing operations
