Position: Engineering Lecturer (9M) Mansfield Campus

Engineering Lecturer (9M) – Mansfield Campus

Engineering Lecturer role focused on teaching engineering-specific courses, supporting laboratory instruction, and engaging students in capstone projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach engineering courses and assist in physics laboratory instruction
  • Develop and continuously improve lecture content and laboratory experiences
  • Mentor students in capstone projects
  • Establish relationships with local industry and lead or co‑lead student projects
  • Manage laboratory equipment to support academic programs
  • Participate in recruitment and retention activities for the Engineering Technology program
  • Conduct outreach to K‑12 students and community organizations
  • Collaborate with colleagues and students across regional campuses and with partners in the Columbus College of Engineering
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Engineering Technology or an engineering discipline (Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, etc.)
  • Membership or professional certification advantageous;
    Six Sigma Master Black Belt preferred
  • Minimum five years of industry experience with a focus on hands‑on practice
  • Teaching or training experience, including public speaking
  • Strong communication and leadership skills suitable for working closely with students
  • Demonstrated competency in at least two of the following areas:
    • Integration of automation systems
    • Programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and/or C++
    • CAD or other modeling software
    • Manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and industry best practices
    • Physics laboratory instruction support
