Role Summary

Ensure the quality and safety of engineering deliverables by overseeing design reviews and refining standards. You'll mentor others in QA/QC practices, manage risk, and help maintain technical excellence. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who are committed to upholding high standards, refining processes, and ensuring consistent quality across engineering deliverables and team outputs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • 6+ years of transmission engineering experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Mastery in working with PLS CADD.
  • Expert in the analysis of transmission structures.
  • Authoritative ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations.
  • Strategic and detail-oriented, with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize complex systems and workflows.
  • Trusted and respected, with deep expertise in fostering collaboration across disciplines and driving innovation within project teams.
  • Forward-thinking communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee design reviews and validation procedures.
  • Review and ensure accuracy and safety of the design of high voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
  • Establish and refine quality standards aligned with industry best practices.
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Mentor engineers with varying levels of experience in applying QA/QC principles and maintaining technical excellence.
  • Champion QA/QC processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality engineering outputs.
  • Interface with project managers to align quality goals with schedule and budget.
