We have partnered with a civil engineering firm in the Columbus, OH area to provide them with a Bridge Project Manager Engineer. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Bridge Project Manager Engineer:

#1. Must be licensed PE in Ohio with qualifications to obtain the license in other states such as Indiana and Kentucky
#2. Must have a valid drivers license.
#3. No more than three jobs in the past 10 years.

Responsibilities of the Bridge Project Manager Engineer:

Manage bridge projects from inception through final plan tracings and coordination with client, prime and sub consultant.
Perform hand and software supported bridge analysis and design computations.
May perform bridge inspections, prepare bridge condition reports, and supervise and review bridge load rating computations.
Supervise project team for the development of plans for bridges and other transportation related structures.
Prepare contract bid documents including final plans, specifications, and cost estimates for structural projects.
Visit project sites to perform bridge inspections, verify existing conditions during design, and provide engineering support during construction.
Coordinate with other disciplines within the transportation department including but not limited to survey, roadway, drainage, and planning.

Requirements of the Bridge Project Manager Engineer:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
Licensed PE in Ohio with qualifications to obtain the license in other states such as Indiana and Kentucky
10-15 years of experience in bridge design
Experience preparing structure plans for DOT projects.
Experience using the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Manual
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license
FHWA 2 Week Bridge Inspection Course or one week course for Professional Engineers
Experience with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD
Bridge inspection experience
Experience with Bridge Inspection Reference Manual

100% onsite, in-office work
No sponsor ships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
