Environment, Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Manager with a strong background in environmental compliance to oversee all environmental, health, and safety programs at our single manufacturing facility (200 employees).

While you will be responsible for the full spectrum of site safety, this role heavily emphasizes environmental stewardship, regulatory reporting, and sustainability initiatives. You will serve as the subject matter expert, ensuring our operations remain fully compliant with local, state, and federal regulations while fostering a proactive culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

• Manage and maintain all environmental permits (Air, Water, Stormwater, Hazardous Waste).
• Lead the preparation and timely submission of all regulatory reports (e.g., Tier II, TRI Form R, Title V, Biennial Waste Reports).
• Oversee the site’s waste management program, ensuring safe handling, storage, minimization, and proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agency inspections (EPA, state environmental agencies, local municipalities).
• Drive site sustainability initiatives, including energy reduction, water conservation, and zero-waste-to-landfill programs.

• Maintain and improve the site’s safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA standards (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Confined Space, Hazard Communication).
• Lead incident investigations to determine root causes, track corrective actions to completion, and manage workers' compensation claims.
• Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

• Develop, implement, and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all 200 site employees.
• Champion the site Safety Committee and actively engage production floor employees in safety and environmental awareness.
• Collaborate closely with Site Leadership and Plant Engineering to integrate EHS considerations into new equipment installations or process changes (Management of Change).

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience:
  
  3+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical Expertise:
  Proven, hands-on experience managing environmental compliance (Air/Water/Waste) and OSHA compliance.
• Certifications (Preferred): CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
• Skills:
  
  Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence behavior across all levels of the organization (from the shop floor to executive leadership).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to tracking EHS metrics.
• Proficiency with EHS management software and regulatory reporting portals.
