As a Process Mechanical Technical Lead, you will serve as a trusted technical authority on high‑impact municipal water and wastewater projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and translate complex challenges into practical, resilient solutions that benefit communities nationwide.

You will lead the process mechanical vision for projects from concept through delivery—setting standards for quality, constructability, and performance while collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and design teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Technical Leadership: set and maintain technical direction for complex municipal water and wastewater projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead Process Mechanical Design: develop evaluations and designs for pumping and treatment facilities, including pump selection and hydraulic calculations; create process and mechanical piping layouts; determine equipment and tank sizing and specification.
  • Drive Innovation: identify and implement alternative designs and system improvements that enhance efficiency, resilience, and long‑term performance.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: partner with BIM and design teams to optimize layouts, resolve constructability challenges, and produce high‑quality drawings.
  • Deliver Contract Documents: prepare technical specifications and front‑end contract documents for publicly bid municipal projects.
  • Analyze & Optimize Systems: support water quality analyses, modeling efforts, and system performance evaluations.
  • Ensure Compliance & Quality: review designs, reports, and deliverables to meet client expectations, firm standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor & Develop Talent: provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Advance Technical Knowledge: author technical papers, contribute to industry publications, and present at conferences and professional forums.
  • Engage Clients & Support Growth: participate in proposal development, client meetings, and solution development for evolving municipal needs.
Benefits
  • Impactful Work: lead large‑scale projects across reuse, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, conveyance, sewer systems, biosolids, lead service line programs, PFAS treatment, and more.
  • Career Advancement: grow through mentorship, leadership pathways, and exposure to some of the industry’s most challenging and innovative projects.
  • Collaborative Culture: join a team that values integrity, technical excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
