Engineer - L2 - Raymond, Ohio on-site

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering.
• All the skills and abilities of Engineer L1.
• Proficient in technical writing.
• Computer skills for scientific and technical applications.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and develop analytical procedures.
• Work with suppliers to request parts/services appropriately, evaluate technical proposals, and write technical reports.
• Make technical decisions with moderate supervision.
• Ability to report research and test results in various technical formats.
• Ability to work with a team or individually to reach project goals.

• Design and develop chassis components (wheel, brake, fuel, exhaust, etc).
• Work with other design and test engineers and suppliers to analyze and resolve technical problems.
• Handle multiple projects and work with a team to meet development schedules.
• Catia V6 proficiency.
• Solid and Surface modeling fluency.
• Design intent and robust modeling (models can withstand major revision).
• Drawing and GD&T awareness.
• Previous chassis design experience.
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturability.
• Ability to pick up new standards and methodologies.
• Capability to interpret basic CAE results (stiffness, natural frequency, etc).
