- Accurately prepare, revise, and maintain detailed drawings and models using CAD software for various structural and building projects.
- Adhere to company CAD standards and deliver high-quality materials that meet client and project requirements.
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models based on design specifications and markups.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to company/client standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of CAD files, templates, and standards.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure delivery is on schedule and on budget.
- Perform redline revisions and document updates.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design data across platforms.
- Support departmental goals through efficient and accurate production of drawings and models.
- Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and standards established by the department.
- Attend internal and project meetings as needed to ensure coordination and consistency.
- Contribute to proposals, design presentations, and other client-facing materials that support company growth.
- Demonstrate ability to adapt to the client or project manager’s needs quickly.
- Coordinate, organize, and support projects to ensure they are complete, on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Ensure projects are completed accurately and on time through organized documentation and coordination.
- Assist in developing templates, tools, or methods that improve accuracy or reduce production time.
- Assist in updating standards, workflows, or documentation that improve project delivery.
- Apply knowledge of CAD software and tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station) to produce professional construction documents.
- Stay current with evolving CAD software, tools, and drafting techniques.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining company CAD standards.
- Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards before submittal.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and correct drawing discrepancies.
- Participate in QA/QC processes to maintain consistency across all drawings.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with peers and engineers.
- Maintain professional communication and uphold company policies and values.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in annual training programs that support company objectives and employee growth.
- Participate in training opportunities to enhance CAD proficiency and stay current with technology.
- Assume responsibilities for special assignments delegated by management to support business or departmental needs.
- Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant drafting experience in an engineering environment.
- Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and reading/interpreting engineering/architectural drawings.
- Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Essentially a sedentary role; standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, and hearing are required.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Office environment: professional office setting during regular business hours.
- Overtime may be necessary as workloads dictate, including weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Some travel may be required; employees may occasionally encounter wet/humid conditions, high places, fumes, outside weather, or risk of electrical shock during site visits.
