We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to play a key role on our ODOT Statewide Overhead Sign inspections contract.
This candidate can be located in Lexington, Kentucky, Cleveland or Columbus, Ohio, or Nashville, TN.
The ideal candidate will have experience in ancillary structure inspection and design/repair. This position requires the ability to manage projects, liaise with clients and government agencies, and perform both structural inspections and design. This is a great opportunity for a technically driven professional who is looking for career growth. The Project Manager plans, designs, and directs projects by performing the following duties.
This candidate must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.
- Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Responsible for projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion.
- Takes an active role in contract negotiations, project planning, project quality, and project profitability.
- Oversees project budgets.
- Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
- Ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
- Provides leadership in client management, proposal preparation, project scoping and estimating project costs.
- Responsible for maintaining meaningful relationships with clients.
- Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
- Directs and supervises the work of project teams and support staff.
- Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
- Ensures that staff needing specialized training in health and safety procedures and practices receives such training and that safety is discussed as an important aspect of their work.
- This position can require up to 50% travel.
Education and/or Experience
- Must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification.
- Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four‑year university.
- 5 years or more experience in project management.
- Experience in ancillary structure inspection strongly preferred.
- Experience in ancillary structure design/repair design a plus.
- 10+ years experience in transportation structure inspection.
Annual Salary
Salary Min: $100,000
Salary Max: $150,000
