Position Location: Worthington, OH branch location, serving customers throughout the greater Columbus, OH area / Central Ohio area.
Responsibilities- Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions; establish comprehensive project schedules and identify crucial installation timelines.
- Own fiscal and managerial oversight for assigned projects, driving financial performance, operational execution, and overall project success.
- Ensure all project safety requirements are defined, communicated, and upheld throughout execution, including compliance with Siemens standards, regulatory requirements, and site‑specific safety plans.
- Accountable for the preparation, coordination, and gaining acceptance of all engineered submittals (e.g., shop drawings, data sheets, and system documentation); manage review cycles and integrate approved designs into project execution.
- Oversee the procurement of supplies and materials required for project completion, and actively participate in cost reviews to ensure financial efficiency.
- Responsible for contracting subcontractors, coordinating activities to align with scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing project documentation such as scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application‑engineered diagrams.
- Diligently track project resources and progress, document events impacting schedule, scope, and efficiency; identify and pursue opportunities for project‑specific change orders.
- Manage project‑specific billing coordination with the accounting team and Operations Manager, schedule commissioning resources, expedite the return of mark‑ups for as‑built development, and ensure timely completion of project‑specific close‑out documentation.
- On‑the‑job experience with project management in the HVAC controls industry or similar experience.
- Experience with HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams; prior exposure to industry‑standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED.
- Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years project management experience in the HVAC controls industry.
- Microsoft Project experience.
