Amazon is seeking a Retro Commissioning Engineer Lead for the AMER Central region to drive performance and energy optimization across retail and fulfillment facilities. You will lead retro-commissioning projects, assess existing HVAC, electrical, and control systems, and identify improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and customer experience. Partnering with operations, facilities, and data teams, you'll analyze trend data, develop corrective action plans, and validate results.
In Amazon's fast-paced, customer-obsessed culture, you'll own complex projects, mentor engineers, and help define standards that scale globally.
Responsibilities
- Lead retro-commissioning projects for Amazon facilities across the AMER Central region.
- Evaluate existing HVAC, electrical, and control systems to identify performance and reliability gaps.
- Analyze BAS and operational data to diagnose issues and prioritize energy and performance improvements.
- Develop and manage project plans, scope, and timelines for retro-commissioning efforts.
- Coordinate with operations, facilities, and vendors to implement corrective actions and system upgrades.
- Validate and document performance outcomes, savings, and system improvements.
- Establish and refine retro-commissioning standards, playbooks, and best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and Amazon policies.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
