Bridge Engineer
PRIME AE Group, Inc. seeks a Bridge Engineer in Columbus, OH.
Perform structural load calculations and bridge plan/specifications development. Oversee geometric layout and quantity development. Check design calculations/construction cost estimates/plan development produced by other engineers. Typical bridge projects include precast concrete girder (pre-stressed and/or post-tensioned) and steel plate or steel box girder for highway, waterway, and rail projects. Strong technical skills in Engineering analysis and design combined with a proven background of technical leadership on these types of projects.
Perform as a Technical Specialist or Task Leader on large projects and supervise Junior Engineers in the performance of engineering tasks. Report preparation and frequent client interaction.
Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related (or its equivalent) plus 3 years of experience. EIT or PE required.
- 2 years of experience in bridge plan production in a professional setting.
- 2 years of experience in various aspects of bridge design projects.
- 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office, CADD software (AutoCAD, Micro Station, etc.) and structural design software.
