Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to support our Asset Integrity Division. This is a hybrid position and candidates must live local to one of our offices in Pittsburgh, PA;
Philadelphia, PA; or Columbus, OH. A successful candidate will drive and maintain the customer work schedule specifically for field inspection work, coordinating with Orbital’s inspection group to communicate work schedules and maintain the schedule visible through a software platform. The position will require communication with customers to set up work and ensure all needed tasks are completed prior to inspectors arriving on site.
Candidates will be trained in Orbital’s inspection process and the services we provide to our customers.
- Set up and maintain the region's work schedule, including training activities, field inspection work, engineering activities, and report writing.
- Use Orbital’s inspection software platform to confirm work progress for inspection reports.
- Work directly with Orbital’s customers to create work schedules for fieldwork.
- Coordinate work with Orbital team members to schedule internal and offsite work.
- Maintain the region's overall work schedule and attend weekly planning meetings.
- Create and update project plans in Orbital accounting software and review proposals and cost estimates to support scheduling.
- Develop and provide status reports that summarize each project's work progress.
- Learn Orbital services to effectively communicate with customers during interactions.
- During customer communications, inform the Region's manager of any new work needs.
- Coordinate work with Orbital subcontractors when utilized on a project.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in work planning or scheduling
- Computer literacy
- Data entry experience
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug and alcohol test in compliance with federal regulations, with random testing as a condition of continued employment
- College degree
