At this time, we are seeking multiple Transportation Engineering Interns in our Ohio (Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland) offices for Spring 2027 (Jan-May 2027). This co-op will be a full-time position working 40 hours a week. The Transportation Engineering Intern will work alongside the Woolpert infrastructure teams working on a variety of projects across the Transportation spectrum including projects in traffic, roadway and pedestrian facilities, bridges and structures and transportation planning.

Work can include several disciplines across a variety of clients and project types. All these projects directly impact the communities where we live and work.

This internship has a significant portion of work onsite/in-office. Woolpert does not provide housing or relocation for internships/co-ops. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

• Work as part of the industry leading Transportation team.
• Gain real-world experience working on actual projects alongside Licensed Engineers that are experts in their fields.
• Assist on a variety of projects doing such things as analysis, design, plan production and cost estimation.
• Use industry leading applications such as Civil 3D and Open Roads Designer, alongside discipline specific programs that aid in design.
• Work as a member of a team that coordinates with other internal teams and external subconsultants and clients.
• Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.

• Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or civil adjacent degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
• Be ready and open to learning!
• Be located in Ohio near one of our offices or be willing to relocate at your own expense as this position requires at least 2 days/week of in office time.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
