Build Technicians

We are looking for a dedicated Automation Build & Deployment Technician based in Columbus, OH, to join our team on a full-time basis. This position involves at least 25% domestic and international travel and offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $30 to $36 per hour, depending on your background. • Execute the mechanical and electrical construction of complex machinery.
• Integrate various mechanical and electrical parts to ensure systems function as a cohesive unit.
• Identify and resolve mechanical or electrical malfunctions during the assembly and implementation phases.
• Help ensure successful equipment commissioning and field deployment to improve overall project outcomes.
• Conduct minor fabrication tasks such as drilling, cutting, welding, and bending to create necessary test components.
• Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
• Collaborate on equipment refinements to help boost the efficiency and performance of our systems.
• Promote a safe and orderly workspace by adhering to 5S standards.
• Coordinate with engineering staff to help streamline the resolution of technical hurdles.
• Maintain flexibility to handle shifting project goals within our dynamic engineering setting.
• Travel to various domestic and international locations at least 25% of the time to assist with site installations.

We are seeking individuals with a technical trade certification, an Associate degree in Engineering Technology, a BS in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Demonstrated ability to assemble and diagnose mechanical and electrical systems.
• Background in custom machinery, robotics, or industrial automation is highly valued.
• Strong mechanical proficiency with experience handling hardware and electromechanical assemblies.
• Prior experience in a machine shop or fabrication environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in utilizing standard shop machinery and various power tools.
• Capacity to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and assembly blueprints.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the integrity of delicate or small components.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving when faced with ambiguous technical challenges.
• Effective interpersonal skills to foster collaboration within technical and engineering teams.

• Willingness and availability to travel domestically and abroad for at least 25% of the year.
