About the RoleReporting to the Manager of Information & Research, the Information and Statistics Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of racing and breeding data. You’ll work hands‑on with horse sale catalogs, pedigrees, race performance data, and annual publications while serving as a key resource for members and customers.
What You’ll Do- Respond to member and customer requests for equine data and reports
- Produce, analyze, edit, and format horse sale catalogs and pedigrees
- Compile and edit annual and periodic publications
- Analyze harness racing data and produce detailed reports
- Support users of USTA online services such as Pathway and Online Services
- Prepare race lines and related services for horse sales
- Collaborate with IT to develop new tools and revenue‑generating products
- Collect and organize horse sale results for the USTA database
- Work with foreign registries to establish records for imported horses
- A degree (BS/BA/AA) and extensive harness racing or equine experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills
- Experience with a horse sales company is a plus but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and database software
This position is a hybrid position, primarily office‑based with occasional travel and outdoor work. Some evenings and weekends may be required, particularly around sales and racing events.
Must be an Ohio resident
