Job SummaryThe Assistant Mutel Manager is an Hourly role that works as direct support to the Mutual Manager and assumes duties of the Mutuel Manager during any day that Manager is not on site. Also, this role is in charge of assisting Mutuel Manager in day to day operations of the Mutuel Department.
How You Will Create the Extraordinary- Assume full managerial responsibilities and ensuring continuous leadership coverage by being main point of contact during Mutuel Manager’s days off.
- Manages the Mutuel Department clerks and Money room to ensure that procedures are being followed to ensure strong operating standards.
- Coordinates assignments for pari-mutuel clerks.
- Contributes to the Racing Department by overseeing and accomplishing task assigned.
- All duties as assigned.
- Previous cash handling experience necessary, and knowledge of pari-mutuel wagering. Must be capable to implement the Ohio rules of Racing.
- Must be able to resolve departmental problems and customer service issues.
- Must have good communication skills. Tote intercommunication skills.
- Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
- Must be at least 21. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Experience in MS office.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
- Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.
- Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.
