Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in managing financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.

- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including payment processing and expense tracking.

- Handle month-end closing activities such as journal entries and schedule execution.

- Set up new projects with appropriate cost coding and maintain job cost records.

- Monitor and analyze project expenses and revenues, providing detailed reports.

- Record and maintain annual contracts and lease agreements accurately in accounting software.

- Reconcile accounts and ensure consistency in financial reporting.

- Collaborate with management to provide insights and support for various accounting projects and analyses.

- Perform bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.

- Ensure general ledger accounts are properly recorded and updated. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

- Expertise in general ledger management and account reconciliation.

- Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and execution.

- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency in tracking and analyzing project costs and revenues.

- Skilled in using accounting software to manage contracts and leases.

- Ability to perform detailed bank reconciliations accurately.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills to support management initiatives.
