Position: IT Audit Manager (Federal Audit)

Position Summary

IT Audit Manager – US (Alexandria, VA; Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN). This position is contingent on award of contract and requires an active interim Secret clearance or the ability to obtain this level of clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first‑line supervision to a team of audit professionals.
  • Review work products prepared by the team, including work papers, findings, reports, and other written deliverables, to ensure quality and consistency with auditing standards and firm guidelines.
  • Leverage understanding of Government Auditing Standards to design audit plans and procedures and oversee their execution.
  • Act as a self‑starter, delivering quality work products with little direction from a supervisor.
  • Supervise and review work performed by other staff.
  • Develop people through effective delegation and guidance.
  • Provide subject‑matter technical expertise to delivery teams in financial reporting, internal control, and financial business systems.
  • Review draft deliverables and present final results to management.
  • Assist principals and senior managers with proposals, business development, and practice administration.
  • Leverage technology, including data analysis tools and AI, to increase efficiency and effectiveness of audit procedures.
  • Act as the primary liaison to the client and keep principals aware of major developments.
  • Utilize technology to share knowledge, develop skills, and promote continuous learning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Information Systems preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of auditing and/or related technical experience.
  • Interim Secret clearance required.
  • Management/leadership experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Project‑management experience.
  • CISA certification preferred.
  • Experience performing SOC 1 or SOC 2 audits (strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with FISCAM and/or FISMA frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Knowledge Areas
  • NIST SP 800‑53 – Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations.
  • FASAB Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards.
  • GAO Government Auditing Standards (GAS).
  • AICPA AU‑Cs.
  • GAO/CIGIE Financial Audit Manual (FAM).
  • GAO Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM).
  • OMB Bulletin 24‑02 – Audit Requirements for Federal Financial Statements.
  • Other federal reporting and accounting requirements, such as OMB bulletins, circulars, and USSGL.
