Job Description Summary

The Private Debt Senior Investment Analyst will support the management of Nationwide’s Private Debt portfolio, including credit funds, separately managed accounts (SMAs) and co‑investments. Responsibilities include new investment underwriting, portfolio management, pipeline development, reporting and special projects. The analyst will also work across other fixed‑income asset classes such as leveraged finance and investment‑grade corporate credit.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in underwriting new funds and co‑investments, monitor existing book of fund/SMAs exposure, and work collaboratively with the team.
- Provide input into analysis of existing portfolio of funds, SMAs and co‑investment exposure.
- Review structure and negotiate terms.
- Complete legal documentation with internal and external counsel.
- Analyze geopolitical impacts.
- Develop investment thesis materials for investment committee presentation.
- Monitor securities portfolio and review credit and sector fundamentals.
- Identify emerging issues or risks early.
- Collaborate with other departments on relative value, sector analysis, asset‑class dynamics and portfolio construction.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners for deal flow and market colour.
- Create streamlined reporting and produce portfolio reports as needed.
- Assist with data management and maintenance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Asset Class Senior Investment Professional
Typical Skills and ExperiencesEducation: Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred;
Chartered Financial Analyst designation desirable.
Experience: 4–7 years of related investment experience.
