Work schedule:
3 days in office, 2 days remote with flexibility to be in office 4 days. This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.
The Senior Investment Analyst analyzes, documents, and prepares necessary information for closing complex commercial real estate transactions. The analyst works closely with the CML origination team, correspondents, internal and external counsel, and cash administration, and maintains data integrity across various databases.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the closing process of new loans and modification loans for the commercial mortgage loan portfolio.
- Coordinate functions between the borrower, correspondent, counsel, and REI staff to complete funding or modification by the targeted date.
- Determine proper documentation and review loan documents for accuracy prior to closing.
- Review leases, estoppels, insurance, and third‑party reports to ensure terms and provisions are acceptable to Nationwide.
- Participate on calls, in meetings, and via emails regarding the closing of each assigned loan.
- Make appropriate updates to databases promptly for new or modified loans.
- Finalize all documentation within a reasonable period after closing.
- Evaluate the work of the correspondent’s closing staff and provide feedback.
- Assist in the testing process for the annual upgrade of the mortgage loan system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports to the Asset Class Senior Investment Professional (Head of Closing and Due Diligence).
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree; paralegal experience preferred.
Experience:
3 to 7 years of related investment or real‑estate investment experience.
Knowledge & skills:
Understanding of commercial real‑estate loan documents, basic calculations including NOI, DSC, & LTV, high accuracy and attention to detail, creative problem‑solving, due diligence and research, strong written and oral communication, negotiation skills, self‑starter and proactive learning, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related software.
Overtime Eligibility:
Not Eligible (Exempt).
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment; some travel may be required. ADA compliance and credit or background checks are mandatory.
National salary range: $73,500.00 – $ per year. Expected starting salary falls within the same range.
