Senior Accountant

Our client, a manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support plant and corporate accounting operations. This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and general ledger management within a production-driven environment. Responsibilities:
Support and lead components of the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Maintain and review general ledger activity related to plant operations, freight, logistics, leases, and other operating expenses. Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate recording of manufacturing-related transactions. Assist with inventory-related analysis and review of operating variances as needed.

Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. Research accounting questions and collaborate with management to resolve issues. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes. Contribute to process improvements and enhancements within the ERP. Complete special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes. Experience working with ERP systems, SAP preferred. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting.
