Staff Accountant

A VACO client is looking to add a Staff Accountant to join their team!

Job Summary The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day financial records to ensure accuracy and that system requirements are properly reflected. This role supports the preparation of financial reports to meet internal and external requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this is a key individual contributor role that plays an important part in ensuring the integrity of financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities Monitor and record daily financial transactions in the general ledger, including freight, logistics, and corporate expenses Support month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and posting Prepare and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights Perform and ensure completion of GL account reconciliations on a regular, predetermined cadence Support the audit process by providing required documentation, schedules, and explanations Research accounting issues and coordinate appropriate solutions Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting Maintain well-organized financial records, files, and documentation Complete assigned special projects accurately and within established timelines Participate in cross-functional training to support other areas of finance, including manufacturing, cash flow, and related functions If now is the time for change, please apply or reach out to me directly at  Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
