Role OverviewThis role will be filled in Columbus, Ohio or Scottsdale, Arizona and requires working in the office two days per week. The position is not a people leader role, but it involves managing full-scale audits within the Property & Casualty (P&C) team. You will focus on audits related to Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Excess & Surplus/Specialty, and Agribusiness, performing both assurance and advisory engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple assurance or advisory engagements simultaneously, demonstrating high energy, flexibility, time management, and strong communication skills.
- Lead engagements from planning to completion, applying knowledge of auditing techniques, identifying key risks and controls, coordinating and reviewing work performed by staff, summarizing findings, and managing client relationships.
- Utilize analytics and data visualization tools for full population testing, and identify new audit approaches through data analytics and continuous auditing.
- Supervise engagement teams of approximately one to ten associates, providing real‑time coaching and feedback on both soft and technical audit skills.
- Drive ongoing risk assessments that feed into the risk‑based audit plan.
- Build relationships across the enterprise to serve as a trusted business advisor to clients, internal risk partners, and others.
- Contribute to initiatives and act as a change agent, driving the unit to be more agile and innovative.
Reports to Audit Director / Audit Officer.
Typical Skills & ExperiencesEducation: Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or related field preferred; advanced degree preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, PMP) desired.
Experience: Typically, more than six years of experience in audit, risk management, or a related field. Experience in the insurance and financial services industry is preferred.

Skills:
Skilled in audit, business and IT general concepts and theory; operational knowledge of audit practices across multiple functional areas; knowledge of project management and motivational theory; applied risk assessment; critical thinking, decision‑making, problem/solution recommendation; effective verbal and written communication; collaboration and teamwork; strong organizational and leadership skills to prioritize tasks and execute audit objectives timely.
Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt)
Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
