We are recruiting an experienced Financial Analyst to lead financial operations for a growing organization in the Columbus metro area. In this highly visible role you’ll partner directly with the client’s leadership team to drive financial performance, strengthen processes, and help build a great place to work.
You’ll oversee core accounting operations, cash flow and banking relationships, payroll, and key human resources initiatives while leading a small, collaborative team. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands‑on leader who enjoys both rolling up their sleeves and acting as a strategic advisor.
Responsibilities- Oversee all plant‑level financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Partner with plant leadership to evaluate manufacturing performance, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and improve profitability.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Conduct detailed analysis of production costs, inventory levels, labor, and material consumption.
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes for the facility.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Assess operational and financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Develop, mentor, and lead plant accounting and finance staff.
- Provide financial insight and recommendations to support operational decision‑making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within accounting and finance processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Prior manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and operational finance.
- Experience with ERP systems required;
Infor Syteline experience is a strong plus. - Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing plant finance leader experience.
- Inventory and standard cost accounting.
- Variance analysis and KPI reporting.
- Continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Multi‑site or complex manufacturing operations exposure.
