Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Risk Manager/Analyst
This role is part of the JPMorgan Wealth Management Regulatory and Policy Management team aligned to the JPMorgan Wealth Management Central Administration Organization (CAO). As a Senior Associate, Legal and Regulatory Management Coordinator
, you will facilitate conversations with partners at all levels inside and outside the line of business, execute deliverables with a high degree of accuracy, and manage legal obligations and regulatory events from intake through completion. This includes launching quality control processes, creating Business as Usual (BAU) processes for new assessment work streams, monitoring adherence to compliance dates and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and keeping regulatory mapping evergreen.
Over time, you are expected to become a subject matter expert on JPMorgan Wealth Management business topics, processes, and the regulatory environment.
- Manage legal obligations and regulatory changes from intake through completion
- Document legal obligation mapping in Enterprise Library Application (ELA)
- Maintain the ELA procedure library to ensure accuracy
- Build and implement quality control and BAU processes as needed
- Monitor adherence to compliance dates and SLAs
- Identify issues, risks, and decisions; escalate and guide solutions with business partners
- Lead and participate in complex initiatives
- Participate in regulatory exams, audits, and controls tests
- Prepare and deliver executive presentations and reporting
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships
- Review and analyze reporting to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies
- Bring 3+ years of relevant wealth management, regulatory, and/or controls/risk management experience
- Demonstrate collaboration and relationship-building across lines of business and partner levels
- Apply professional maturity through effective meeting management, email etiquette, accountability, resiliency, and collaboration
- Make decisions confidently and guide, challenge, and influence partners at all levels when needed
- Apply controls and risk management knowledge, including RCSA, testing methodology, and root cause analysis
- Investigate and solve complex problems
- Organize, prioritize, and multi-task effectively to meet deadlines
- Interpret internal policies and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical steps and solutions
- Create and maintain strong documentation
- Lead complex initiatives by planning, designing, documenting, executing, and communicating
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, including executive-ready presentations
- Use advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint skills
- Translate complex, ambiguous, principle-based regulations into practical steps and solutions
- Analyze and prioritize alternative solutions to drive results
- Apply operational risk and control design knowledge to implement effective quality control processes
- Adapt to change and operate effectively in an evolving role influenced by the regulatory environment and organizational changes
- Apply process improvement skills to evolve processes from current state to future state
- Maintain or obtain role-relevant business-specific skills or certifications as required
