The Financial Operations Senior Analyst in the Department of the College of Medicine (COM) Center for Clinical Research Management (CCRM) provides advanced financial, accounting, and operational support by managing complex fiscal activities and serving as a key resource to departmental leadership, faculty, and staff. The role applies thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and institutional policies to oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, procurement, and internal controls.
Working independently on high‑impact projects, the individual evaluates departmental fiscal processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements changes that strengthen accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. The position serves as a primary contact for financial transactions, analyzes financial statements, resolves complex discrepancies, and collaborates with internal and external partners on sensitive or strategic financial matters. The individual also prepares detailed financial reports, supports audit readiness, contributes to policy development, and provides guidance and training to colleagues to ensure strong financial stewardship across the unit.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable.
Required Experience4 years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Experience4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre‑employment physical, including a drug screen.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
