Summary
The Default Services Specialist I supports a variety of activities/functions required in conjunction with the servicing of existing consumer loan products, primarily on delinquent accounts. Activities may include direct communication with delinquent customers as well as third‑party vendors utilized to support various default servicing functions.
Duties & Responsibilities- Asset repossession and remarketing.
- Account review and reconcilement.
- Monitor status and follow up on repossession activity.
- Manage queue independently in a timely, efficient manner.
- Provide customers with amounts due and information required to redeem collateral.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Manage relationship with outside vendors.
- Other functions required to support default related activity.
- High school diploma.
- 1–3 years of work experience in a processing or similar function.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Call‑center experience.
- Administrative/operations experience successfully meeting productivity goals.
- Previous experience demonstrating flexibility, innovation, and account management skills.
- Prior collections experience.
- Prior skip‑tracing experience.
- Prior exposure to vehicle repossession and/or lease disposition.
- Demonstrated experience successfully interacting across lines of business, with vendors and in a team environment.
- Willingness and ability to be cross‑trained on all areas within ARR and shift positions as necessary.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Intermediate typing/data entry skill.
No – eligible for overtime pay.
