We partner closely with Technology, Marketing, Capital Markets, Finance, Production and other stakeholders teams to build experiences that capture market share and reduce cost to origination.
As a Vice President Product Strategy in Home Lending Innovation, you will be accountable for taking mortgage innovations from strategy through business case and governance across product design, credit policy, operating process, and enabling technology. This role owns the full lifecycle from opportunity assessment and business case development through governance and post‑launch performance management, while participating in build execution and launch readiness processes led by delivery partners, with responsibility to secure cross‑functional alignment and senior‑level approvals.
Success requires balancing borrower outcomes with the economics, risk posture, and execution feasibility required to deliver sustainable growth in a regulated, capital‑markets‑connected business.
- Develop mortgage products and structured refinance programs that satisfy both borrower needs and investor/capital markets requirements.
- Translate strategy into problem statements, target‑state designs, and decision‑ready business cases with clear governance and performance measures.
- Own trade‑off decisions that balance customer value, risk‑based pricing, profitability, operational feasibility, and scalability.
- Lead strategic partnerships—within CCB and externally—to expand structured refinance coverage, reduce origination expense, and modernize marketing and its downstream system impacts.
- Align product, credit risk, compliance, legal, technology, operations, servicing, finance, and capital markets stakeholders before seeking executive approvals.
- Deliver executive‑level communication—written and verbal—that articulates options, implications, risks, and measurable outcomes.
- Anticipate constraints across the full loan manufacturing lifecycle—from lead acquisition through servicing—and design solutions viable end‑to‑end.
- Participate in build execution and launch readiness processes, ensuring delivery teams have the context needed to execute effectively.
- 5+ years of experience in mortgage banking, consumer lending, or capital markets‑adjacent roles; subject matter expertise in strategic analysis, finance, or home lending products.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proven ability to create data‑driven, decision‑ready business cases and structured offer economics, especially in a products or project setting.
- Deep understanding of risk‑based lending, lending regulations, and investor performance considerations.
- Attention to detail with strong end‑to‑end problem solving across competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal communication skills; frequent communication with senior leadership is required.
- Excellent written presentation skills for producing executive‑level material articulating options, risks, and measurable outcomes.
- Conflict resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Product leadership experience spanning strategy, design, build, and launch across technology, operations, policy, and go‑to‑market.
- Experience partnering with capital markets and/or secondary market stakeholders to shape mortgage offerings.
- Track record identifying and executing strategic partnerships with clear governance and measurable outcomes.
- Awareness of industry, competitors, and their impact on business strategy and modernization efforts.
