MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR

Hybrid – Columbus, OH (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

6-Month Contract to Hire (W2)

$25-30/hr - Weekly Pay (40 hours/week)

Calculated Hire is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor for our Financial Services client. This role will support the end-to-end processing of residential mortgage loans and partner closely with Underwriters, Mortgage Loan Officers, and Business Banking teams to ensure timely and accurate loan progression.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage residential mortgage loan files from application through closing
  • Collect, review, and validate borrower documentation including income, assets, credit, and collateral information
  • Ensure loan files meet internal, investor, and regulatory requirements prior to underwriting submission
  • Partner closely with Mortgage Loan Officers, Underwriters, and Business Banking teams throughout the loan lifecycle
  • Communicate with borrowers and third parties to obtain outstanding documentation and resolve file conditions
  • Track and manage pipeline deadlines to ensure timely loan progression and closing timelines
  • Utilize Encompass for loan file management, status updates, and documentation review
  • Review loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and guideline alignment
  • Support underwriting and closing teams by clearing conditions and resolving documentation gaps
  • Maintain strong attention to detail while working within a high-volume production environment
Desired

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of mortgage loan processing experience
  • Hands-on experience using Encompass
  • Experience processing a variety of residential mortgage loan products
  • Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance requirements, and loan workflow processes
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume pipeline effectively
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across processing, underwriting, and sales teams
