Scope of Position
The Finance Business Partner for University Hospital (“Finance Business Partner”) is a partner in support of the academic medical center’s tripartite mission, supporting University Hospital (“UH”).
Position SummaryServe as a key member of the University Hospital finance leadership team, providing strategic direction and oversight of financial operations, governance, and reporting.
Responsibilities- Lead University Hospital financial operations, including month‑end close, general ledger integrity, internal controls, and revenue management to ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
- Direct University Hospital budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning, delivering data‑driven insights on cost drivers and supporting enterprise strategic decision‑making.
- Partner with executive, operational, and clinical leaders to translate financial data into actionable insights, supporting performance improvement and strategic initiatives.
- Drive margin improvement and cost optimization for University Hospital through advanced analytics, benchmarking, and collaboration with supply chain and clinical teams.
- Oversee capital planning and resource allocation for University Hospital.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required;
Master’s Degree is desirable. A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in a finance role in a health care environment.
