A key priority of this role will be to optimize the company’s accounting model (outsourced + internal) into a more efficient, clearly owned, and scalable structure. This role requires a leader who can balance detail‑oriented execution with forward‑looking financial strategy, bringing clarity, discipline, and partnership across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for end‑to‑end accounting operations, including controls, compliance, audit readiness, and optimization of core financial processes (AP, AR, expenses, and reconciliations).
  • Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and capital allocation decisions, including ROI evaluation for key investments.
  • Define and implement a clear, scalable finance operating model across internal and outsourced resources.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Senior Financial Analyst, building bench strength and capability within the finance function.
  • Ensure a consistent, timely, and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
  • Standardize financial processes across vendor management, bill pay, payroll inputs, and documentation.
  • Partner with the Leadership Team to drive operational efficiency, cost management, and performance improvement.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis, including P&L, cash flow, and store‑level performance insights, to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Translate financial results into clear, forward‑looking recommendations for business decisions.
  • Oversee management reporting and dashboards, establishing a disciplined weekly and monthly performance cadence.
  • Strengthen financial systems, tools, and cross‑functional processes to improve visibility, efficiency, and alignment across Sales, Operations, HR, and Finance.
Critical Deliverables in First 2 Years
  • Establish a consistent financial reporting and performance cadence that drives accountability across the business.
  • Improve financial visibility and accuracy, enabling faster and more confident decision making.
  • Build a forward‑looking financial planning function that identifies risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Strengthen cash flow management and capital planning discipline to support growth.
  • Partner with leadership to improve store‑level performance visibility and profitability.
  • Assess and optimize the finance team structure, processes, and systems to support scalability.
  • Create intentional redundancy and checks / balances to ensure business continuity.
Requirements Key Traits for Success
  • Strategic thinker who can translate financial data into clear direction and priorities.
  • Data‑driven leader with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • High level of accountability with the ability to set expectations and drive results.
  • Clear and effective communicator who simplifies complex financial concepts.
Required Qualifications
  • 10–15 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with a multi‑location retailer.
  • Strong background in financial planning & analysis, accounting, and business partnership.
  • Experience leading financial reporting, controls, and compliance functions.
  • Proven ability to build scalable financial processes in a growing organization.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic decision making.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into insights and action.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and MS Office products.
  • Deep expertise with Quick Books Online.
