Investment Analyst, Enterprise Portfolio Management

Job Summary

As a key member of Nationwide’s Finance team, the Investment Analyst supports portfolio management, research, trading, and risk functions. The role operates within 35 miles of Columbus, OH (One Nationwide Plaza).

• Support management of existing investment portfolio and new investment opportunities.
• Maintain data integrity and fulfill reporting needs.
• Assist with special projects and contribute to investment process.
• Analyze macro trends, regulatory changes, and competitive environment affecting investment performance.
• Assess risk‑adjusted returns and relative value across investment opportunities.
• Monitor insurance company capital treatment and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior management.
• Develop and articulate credit opinions and investment views.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field.
• Preferred: MBA or CFA designation.
• Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong prioritization, execution, and collaboration abilities.
• Capability to handle pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Critical and creative thinker able to articulate credit opinions.
• Self‑motivated, independent, and team oriented.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and process oriented.

• Work schedule:
  
  4 days in office, 1 day remote.
• Overtime eligibility:
  Not eligible (Exempt).
• Working conditions:
  
  Normal office environment.
• ADA compliance:
  Duties cover principal and essential functions of the role.
• Location requirement:
  Must reside within 35 miles of One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, OH.
