Tax Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to join our finance team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and planning, ensuring that our organization adheres to all regulatory requirements while optimizing tax strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to mitigate tax risks and enhance financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities
• Conduct thorough tax research and analyze complex tax issues
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations
• Review and manage tax audits and resolve any issues that arise
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to integrate tax planning with overall business strategy
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff on tax-related matters
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant information to management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Experience with audit processes and compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
