Salary: $130-150k plus bonus – total earning potential is uncapped
Duration: Direct Hire
Location: 1-2 days / week onsite in Columbus or Fully Remote (in Ohio or Indianapolis) - must be in office the 1st Tuesday of each month
RequirementsMUST HAVES:
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Lending with a focus on Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans
- Demonstrated track record of originating $12–15 million or more in annual commercial loan production
- Established network of business owners, commercial real estate professionals, attorneys, CPAs, and referral partners that can support continued portfolio growth.

A small bank is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Officer for a full time job opportunity that would sit hybrid in Columbus Ohio or fully remote. We are seeking a highly motivated Loan Officer who thrives in building new business relationships through networking, marketing and active outreach. You would be joining a team of 4 Loan Officers, 3 Underwriters, and Loan Administrators at a community bank that is rapidly growing and plans to double their assets under management in the next two years.
This team is established and here to support you and many of the administrative functions so that you can continually seek new business partnerships. As a Commercial Loan Officer your focus is to continually grow your portfolio, bring in a minimum of $12 million in annual commercial loan production, establish a network of business owners, commercial real estate professionals, attorneys, CPAs, etc.
and help the bank meet their goals assets under management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spend most of the time meeting with customers and prospective customers at the customers’ location.
- Monitors loan policy compliance.
- Reviews new note audit report and loan input sheets to CIS file maintenance report for accuracy.
- Reviews credit files on new loans for proper documentation.
- Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Travel to various customer locations to interview applicants and request specific information for loan application, financial statements, credit reports, and tax returns.
- Analyze the financial status of the customer.
- Analyze the applicant’s assets and liabilities to determine feasibility of granting secured or unsecured loan.
- Approve loan within certain limits or discuss with Chief Lending Officer for approval.
- Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.
