Job Description Summary
As a Senior Investment Professional in Specialty Finance, you will identify and analyze credit risk for innovative specialty finance solutions, collaborate with internal and external partners, and design and implement underwriting frameworks and operating manuals.
Key Responsibilities- Drive credit analysis for specialty finance solutions, establishing methodologies for risk and return assessment.
- Identify risk and return drivers, develop forward‑looking scenarios, and recommend pricing for credit aspects of the products.
- Communicate analysis and recommendations through written reports, presentations, and meetings with partners.
- Contribute to the development of risk appetite, budget, and limit frameworks for the venture.
- Design, implement, and monitor credit underwriting and operating manuals, incorporating input from stakeholders.
- Build relationships with internal and external partners to identify and assess new product opportunities.
- Interface with accounting, legal, regulatory and rating agency teams to structure products efficiently.
- Design and implement performance and risk measurement tools and reporting.
- Monitor industry, economic, and regulatory trends that impact the products.
- Enhance the team’s approach to evaluating and managing specialty finance opportunities.
Reports to VP, CRO Specialty Finance.
EducationBachelor’s Degree; MBA, MS or MA in business administration, economics, finance, or CFA preferred.
Experience8 to 12 years of related investment experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills- Conversant in fixed income and equity valuation methodologies
- Conversant in return on capital based analysis
- Expert Credit Research professional
- Advanced understanding of Credit Research tools and processes
- Proficient in Excel;
Bloomberg experience is a plus - Leadership potential
- Curiosity and ability to apply risk and return principles to innovative products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
