Nationwide, a Fortune 100 company, seeks an Investment Analyst to support our Real Estate Asset Management team. The role focuses on managing and monitoring a multi‑billion‑dollar loan portfolio secured by U.S. real estate properties.
Location & ScheduleColumbus, OH – One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215. Must reside within 35 miles of the office.
Work schedule:
4 days in office, 1 day remote.
- Assist senior team members in analyzing borrower requests for commercial mortgage loans held in the Nationwide general account or managed on behalf of third‑party participants.
- Review and interpret loan terms and ancillary provisions in loan agreements.
- Perform financial statement analysis for borrower entities and collateral properties, and review annual property inspections.
- Maintain positive relationships with loan correspondents and other external customers.
- Communicate status of borrower requests, expected completion timelines, and required approvals.
- Collaborate with the CML Due Diligence, Closing and Legal teams to draft post‑closing checklists and language for asset management responsibilities.
- Ensure accurate data entry of loan information into Nationwide’s loan management system (LMS) and other downstream database or website‑related systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, or related field.
- 0‑2 years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of real estate fundamentals and legal interpretation of loan documents preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritize assignments effectively to support internal and external stakeholders/customers.
- Overtime eligibility:
Not Eligible (Exempt). - Some travel may be required.
- Credit check required as part of selection process.
- Position does not qualify for employer‑sponsored work authorization;
Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.
