Global Finance & Business Management (GFBM) is dedicated to continually improving our business-strategically, financially, and operationally-by combining financial expertise with advancing technologies.
As a Summer Analyst in the Global Finance & Business Management Analyst Program, you'll collaborate with top-tier professionals to influence and shape key decisions, initiatives, and outcomes that support businesses across the firm; you'll have opportunities to make meaningful contributions through hands-on projects, applying analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, data-informed insights and analytical frameworks to identify trends, manage risk and improve business outcomes in a dynamic team environment.
This 9-week internship program delivers the training, mentorship, and exposure you need to succeed, including access to senior leaders, peer mentorship, and projects designed to engage your full skill set-spanning financial analysis, data interpretation, and critical thinking. You'll be placed as a member on one of our finance teams where you'll work within one of the following functional groups:
Business Management, Controller, Financial Analysis, and Project Management. This role serves as a pipeline to the full-time Global Finance & Business Management Analyst Program, upon successful completion of the internship, you may receive an offer to return as a Full-Time Analyst in the same location, (the full-time program is a two-year rotational experience consisting of two 12-month rotations across different functional groups and lines of business).
The responsibilities below align to each of our functional groups:
Business Management- Act as a trusted advisor to business and group heads by identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks
- Optimize business performance by driving key initiatives supported by financial and data-driven insights
- Leverage reporting, metrics, and analytics to support strategic planning and execution
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements and controls across the transaction lifecycle
- Perform critical reporting and controls functions, including legal entity, financial and regulatory reporting, and product valuation
- Partner with stakeholders to enhance controls, transparency, and data quality
- Create meaningful financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support business strategy
- Coordinate with partners across the firm on budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
- Use data and analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting the business
- Support initiatives that drive cross-line-of-business or firmwide priorities, including new regulations, standards, or policies and contribute to large-scale programs consisting of multiple projects and work streams
- Track progress, analyze outcomes, and support data-informed decision-making across project life cycles
- Pursuing a B.A., B.S., or 5th-year M.A. or M.S., with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or June 2028
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- A well-rounded academic background with an interest in financial management, analytics, and data
- Digital-first mindset; data driven critical thinking skills; curiosity, adaptability and willingness to learn new tools/skills/technologies; proficiency in Excel and Power Point
- Relevant internship experience and demonstrated leadership in academic or community organizations
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- Working knowledge of data analytics, visualization tools, programming language tools, etc. (such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python, etc.)
