The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and state-supported institutions of higher education; manages Ohio's school facility programs, which provide support for the construction and renovation of public K-12 schools; and administers the funding for community-based cultural and sports facilities projects.

Who We Are:

The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) oversees capital projects undertaken by state agencies and state-supported higher education institutions; manages Ohio's school facility programs, which support the construction and renovation of public K-12 schools; and administers the funding for community-based cultural and sports facilities projects. The Commission sets uniform rules, procedures, and standardized documents for state construction under Chapter 153. The legislature established the Commission in 2012 with the merger of the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) and the former Office of State Architect.

In 2013, the Commission undertook oversight of the cultural facilities grants program. In 2017, the legislature further folded all OSFC duties and responsibilities into the Commission, consolidating guidance and oversight of its various programs into a single entity. In 2021, the Commission celebrated 100 years of public construction in the Buckeye State.

What You'll Do:
Serves as K-12 Accounting and Compliance Administrator for Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC):
Reviews and conducts desk reviews of school district project finances Reviews school districts' financial tracking of the OFCC construction project Communicates with the school districts about issues identified and explains how to correct errors Ensures compliance with state and federal requirements Makes recommendations to supervisor and chief financial officer regarding compliance concerns Oversees & coordinates the financial closeout of school district projects Works with Commission staff, construction management firms, auditing firms, and school districts to collect data, perform financial analysis, and resolve issues Provides regular direction to bring each district closeout to completion through all necessary approvals Provides training and assistance to school district treasurers on financial matters Provides financial direction on individual projects Meets with district personnel and other parties of interest to explain Commission programs and policies;

and develops guidelines & procedures Reviews quarterly reconciliations from school district projects Works with project staff and school districts to reconcile any discrepancies between reported expenditures from various reporting systems Calculates and approves draw requests Supports the financial operations of the agency, including accounting, desk reviews, and provides technical expertise in financial management Provides financial advice & direction to partners Resolves issues on individual projects Performs other related duties as assigned
