Financial Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Financial Analyst to join our Finance Division. This role supports financial operations through transaction processing, financial data entry, document review, and record maintenance. position provides financial and procurement support by processing transactions, reviewing financial documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with state policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and enjoys working with financial data in a collaborative team environment.

• Process financial and procurement transactions in accordance with Office of Budget & Management (OBM) policies, state regulations, and agency procedures.
• Review purchase requisitions and assign appropriate financial coding.
• Verify calculations, coding, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Review purchase orders, contracts, pre-approvals, and vendor invoices for compliance.
• Enter and maintain financial information in systems including OAKS, Salesforce, and Ohio Buys.
• Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and correct financial documents.
• Maintain pending voucher files and other financial records.
• Monitor approval workflows for operating invoices and internal service transactions.
• Ensure accurate data entry while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Support the Finance team with additional administrative and financial duties as assigned.

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree (or completion of an undergraduate core program) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at least six months of accounting or finance experience or training, including intermediate spreadsheet skills.
• At least 30 months of accounting or finance experience or training, including intermediate spreadsheet skills.
• At least 12 months of experience as a Financial Associate.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
