What You’ll Do
- Manage an assigned customer portfolio and perform collection activity, including reviewing aging and payment history, contacting customers about past-due invoices, obtaining and tracking payment commitments, documenting account activity, and escalating accounts based on age, exposure, risk, or broken commitments.
- Support credit reviews for new and existing customers by gathering and reviewing credit applications, financial statements, credit reports, trade references, payment trends, and account exposure.
- Prepare recommendations for credit limits, payment terms, account holds, and order releases within established policies and approval levels, while monitoring accounts for changes in risk.
- Build productive relationships with customers and internal partners across Sales, Deductions, Cash Application, and Operations to resolve payment barriers and account discrepancies.
- Use available systems and data to track issues through resolution, identify trends, and support reporting, automation, cross-training, and process improvements across Treasury Shared Services.
- Build broader Treasury knowledge by learning foundational processes and supporting execution across the function as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, or a Shared Services environment.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Basic proficiency with Excel and financial systems; JD Edwards experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work within structured procedures, exercise sound judgment within defined parameters, and elevate issues appropriately.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers, teammates, and internal partners.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new systems, automation platforms, and AI-supported workflow tools as the function evolves.
Success in this role means combining consistent follow-through with thoughtful account management. Your work will directly support improvements in DSO, past-due receivables, collection effectiveness, and customer credit risk while helping the Treasury Shared Services team continue to improve its processes and capabilities.
This role is expected to work in the office at least three days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days based on business need.
