Our Internal Fixed Income team is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to play a key role in supporting all aspects of security selection, credit research, and portfolio management within our US High Yield strategy. This individual will be responsible for developing independent, differentiated credit views through rigorous fundamental analysis and will contribute directly to investment decision-making across the portfolio. The analyst will leverage strong critical thinking, financial modeling, and analytical skills to assess relative value opportunities, identify key risks and catalysts, and formulate actionable investment recommendations within assigned sector coverage.
WhatYou’ll Do
Conduct issuer and industry research across high yield sectors, including financial analysis, capital structure review, competitive assessment, market monitoring, and key credit-driver identification. Develop investment theses and share insights with the investment team.
Partner with the High Yield Portfolio Manager to identify opportunities, support portfolio construction, and manage risk to improve risk-adjusted returns versus the benchmark.
Participate in investment discussions, portfolio reviews, and meetings with management teams and market participants. The ideal candidate brings curiosity, judgment, communication skills, and passion for below-investment-grade credit with primary coverage focused on US issuers.
What You’ll Bring- A bachelor's degree and CFA Charter holder.
- MBA or master’s degree in finance or related field preferred.
- At leastfiveyears of experience in fundamental credit analysis.
- Have an aptitude for understanding financial information.
- Strong analyticalandproblem-solving skills.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to the ever-changing investment and organizational environment
- Ability to perform and understand higher order mathematics for economic, investment and portfolio management reports.
- Bloomberg experience
- The ability to become licensed as a State Retirement System Investment Officer (SRSIO) within six monthsof hire and to abide by theOPERS Personal Trading Policyis required
