What We Need YOU To Do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental specialist in the Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance (DEFA) at our Central Office in beautiful downtown Columbus, Ohio.

As DEFA’s environmental specialist, you will coordinate planning review activities for wastewater, drinking water, and water quality projects seeking funding assistance through the Water Pollution Control Loan Fund, Drinking Water Assistance Fund, and other pertinent programs. You’ll review plans and conduct site inspections to evaluate compliance with programmatic requirements, as well as recommend approval, disapproval, or modification of project plans.
You’ll review detailed plans, specifications, and change orders to ensure compliance with project plan determinations, environmental review conclusions, and prescribed mitigative measures. This will include conducting site inspections during construction to monitor conformance with approved documents and the implementation of approved project mitigation activities. You’ll meet with applicants, the public, and representatives from other agencies to assist with meeting program requirements.
You’ll review documentation of pollution control needs for intended use plans and priority list project rankings, evaluate data, and rate projects in accordance with established program criteria.
