About Us: The Ohio Casino Control Commission has the responsibility to ensure the integrity of casino gaming, sports gaming, skill-based amusement machines and fantasy contests by licensing, regulating, investigating and enforcing state laws.

What We Do: The Ohio Casino Control Commission is a bipartisan regulatory body made up of seven Commissioners, an Executive Director and supporting staff that provides oversight of the casino gaming industry in Ohio. To fulfill the mission and the responsibilities of the Commission, the Executive Director oversees eight divisions that provide critical functions to ensure the integrity of casino gaming: communications, enforcement, legal counsel, licensing & investigations (casino gaming & fantasy contests), operations, regulatory compliance, responsible gambling and skill games.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Assists as needed with the license application intake process to supplement investigations
  • Performs provisional investigations of natural person applicants and renewal investigations of entity applicants seeking to be licensed by the OCCC to determine suitability for licensure
  • Conducts verbal or written follow-up with applicants, licensees, or related individuals based on application information and preliminary investigative findings
  • Prepares investigative files that include pertinent information to make preliminary written licensing recommendations based upon findings
  • Compiles and maintains complete investigatory materials according to agency policy
  • Works closely with Division peers and supervisors as well as the Commission’s field office managers to assist in various informational aspects of the licensing process
  • Provides information in response to inquiries from the general public, licensees, potential licensees, and other interested parties regarding the investigation process and OCCC policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned by superiors as required in order to fulfill OCCC mission & goal

Qualifications

18 mos. exp. auditing or conducting investigations corresponding to type of subject matter appearing in job posting/approved position description.

Or Completion of associate core program in accounting, finance, criminology, criminal justice or closely related field.

Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
