Job Description

Office of Child Support

This position is in the Office of Child Support (OCS) which establishes policies and guidelines for the child support program based on federal and state laws. Ohio's child support program provides services to help ensure that children receive the financial and medical support they are legally entitled to and deserve. What

You Will Do
  • Research child support policy and system information to develop training presentations and materials.
  • Deliver training to county and state child support professionals and assist in the facilitation of training sessions.
  • Perform after training session duties, including tracking attendance, reviewing evaluation feedback, and updating handouts and question and answer documents.
  • Collaborate as needed with other OCS units, ODJFS offices, and county partners to produce training.
  • Monitor a shared email inbox and respond to inquiries.
Recommended Skills
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to an audience, in person and/or virtually.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of eLearning training development software (i.e., Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Lectora).
  • Familiarity of adult learning principles and a passion for learning.
Challenges
  • You will be responsible for creating and conducting training that requires in-depth knowledge of child support policy and systems.
Schedule

Full-time.

Hours

Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

As needed within the state of Ohio for ad hoc or regional county training.
