The Office of Family Assistance provides policy, operational, technical assistance and training support for safety net programs that assist low-income Ohioans. This includes:
Cash assistance programs funded by the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families block grant, including Ohio Works First (OWF) and the Prevention Retention and Contingency programs;
Food assistance programs including, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Program, the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP);

What You Will Do
In this role, you will guide a multidisciplinary management team responsible for key review, analysis, and accountability functions within SNAP and OWF operations. You will oversee activities that strengthen program integrity, ensure counties have the support needed to meet performance expectations, and drive statewide efforts to improve payment accuracy. Your work will involve interpreting complex data, identifying patterns, and translating findings into actionable recommendations that enhance operations, training, and overall service delivery.
You will also shape and direct the state's required evaluation and quality frameworks, partnering closely with federal counterparts to maintain compliance and advance program goals.
Day-to-Day You Will:
* Lead and supervise a team of four managers overseeing Quality Control, Management Evaluation, Outcomes and Analysis, and County Payment Error Rate functions.
* Review, interpret, and analyze Quality Control findings and other program evaluation reports to inform operational improvements.
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight for new county-level SNAP payment accuracy initiatives.
* Collaborate directly with county partners to support performance improvement and ensure program alignment with state and federal expectations.
* Monitor county performance metrics, identify trends, and develop insights to guide decision-making.
* Assess training needs and recommend process or system enhancements based on statistical and performance data.
* Evaluate existing business processes for efficiency and lead the development and implementation of improved workflows.
* Author and oversee the execution of the State's SNAP Management Evaluation Plan and Quality Control Plan in coordination with federal partners.

Hours:
Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Option 1:
* 72 mos. exp. in researching, developing, or implementing policies related to human services, social services, health services, public policy or comparable field;
* AND 24 mos. exp. in managing delivery of human services program in a governmental, community or private human support services agency;
* AND 24 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or managerial principles & techniques.
Option 2:
* 12 mos. exp. as Human Services Administrator 1, 69457 with the State of Ohio.
Option 3:
* Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science;
* AND 48 mos. exp. in researching, developing or implementing policies related to human services, social services, health services, public policy or comparable field;
* AND 24 mos. exp. in managing delivery of human services program in a governmental, community or private human support services agency;
* AND 24 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or managerial principles & techniques.
Option 4:
* Completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science;
* AND 36 mos. exp. in researching, developing or implementing policies related to human services, social services, health services, public policy or comparable field;
* AND 24 mos. exp. in managing delivery of human services program in a governmental, community or private human support services agency;
* AND 24 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or managerial principles & techniques.

* The equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
